Bidou is situated in the middle of the "Perigord Pourpre" "Pourpre", the name deriving from the rich purple-red wines! Bergerac produces red, dry white and sweet white wines. The most common form of Bergerac is red wine. However the most famous are the sweet whites produced around Monbazillac. A high quality sweet white wine. The most Vines grown are: Cabernet and Merlot for the red wines and Sauvignon, Semillon and Muscadelle for the whites.
